Compliance, clause by clause
Built against ADEK's own text.
These mandates are in force now for Abu Dhabi schools and nurseries. Each row cites the policy verbatim and names the mechanism. Every claim is a code path an inspector can watch run on the device.
| ADEK requires | How the device answers |
|---|---|
| Safeguarding Policy §5.2.4A visitor's log recording name, ID, signature, telephone number, purpose, time of arrival, time of departure. | All seven fields captured digitally, including a live drawn signature on the visitor screen, and sealed per record. |
| Safeguarding Policy §5.4.4Identity of the nominated person checked at the gate and when handing over the student. | Chip-verified identity at the gate, and the officer's face-check against the chip's own photograph at handover, both on the same sealed release record. |
| EEI Child Pick-Up Authority §1.4The child's file holds the ID and a recent photograph of every pick-up authority, kept at least 2 years. | One Emirates ID read captures ID number, legal name and photograph together: the §1.4 file content in a two-second tap. The 18+ authority rule is enforced from the chip's date of birth. |
| Records Policy §2.4.1(g) + §2.4.2The visitor log is a named administrative record with a five-year minimum retention. | Retention is a device-enforced policy (school preset: 60 months). Records are individually encrypted and tamper-evident; exports carry an integrity code. |
| Records Policy §2.1.3Electronic record-keeping is acceptable, and "preferable", for archives. | Fully electronic by design: encrypted at rest, exportable, restorable to replacement hardware. Paper is never required. |
Why a paper log fails the same test
A binder at reception cannot hold a photograph, cannot validate an ID number, cannot revoke an authority the moment a parent calls, and cannot prove that nothing was edited afterwards. The mandate is written for records that can do all four.
The signature sits where it belongs
ADEK's handover mandate is ID verification against authorised lists, not a signature at the gate, and ezSchool keeps handover exactly that fast: a one-second palm or a two-second chip check. The signature that matters is the parent's: who may pick up their child is authorised in writing, signed by the parent, and held on the very record the gate enforces at every release.
ADEK does not approve products. It publishes policies, and the device is built against their text.
