The register takes itself while the class walks in.

First period starts with a teacher reading names aloud, and ends with somebody in the office typing the same names into eSIS. Both are the register being copied by hand. Here it is written once, by the children, at the door.

Class attendance by a wave of the hand The teacher taps the handheld on the room tag by the classroom door and the list for class 2B opens. Three children walk in, each waves a hand at the reader, gets a tick and sits down. At eight one row is still open. She runs in seven minutes later, waves, and is marked late 08:07. The finished list goes to the eSIS attendance file. Class 2B, first period. The teacher taps the tag on the door frame, the class appears, and each child waves in. At eight one name is still open; she arrives at 08:07 and is late, with the minute.

The door knows which class

A small tag on the door frame, bound to the room once. A tap on it opens that room's class as faces: grey until the child has waved or tapped a card, green after.

Late is a fact, not a judgement

You set when the day starts and after which minute a child is late. A child who waves in after that is late with the time, and stays late in the record. Whoever has not arrived is on the screen by name, on the handheld and at the desk.

Picked up is not missing

The classroom and the gate are one register. A child collected at 10:40 for the dentist shows as picked up, at what time and by whom, not as a gap somebody has to explain.

The eSIS file, filled

eSIS takes attendance as ADEK's own Excel template. The Back Office fills that template from the register: present, late and absent per child per day. Your staff upload a file instead of typing a class.
